Training the next generation of biomedical engineers, who also understands the clinical utility, is central to what I want to do as a faculty member. While at MIT I have invested in pedagogy and research mentorship through MIT's two flagship training programs.

Developed assessments, led office hours, and taught tutorials on optical design software for this graduate-level course. Received perfect TA evaluations of 7.0 / 7.0.

MIT Kaufman Teaching Certificate Program

Semester-long seminar in evidence-based college teaching: course design, active learning, assessment, inclusive pedagogy. Culminated in a complete syllabus for a graduate course on biomedical optical imaging.

Co-mentored Lukas's Master's thesis developing a hybrid transformer–CNN U-Net for ellipsoid zone segmentation in AMD. Two first-author abstracts accepted at BVM 2026 and ARVO Imaging in the Eye 2026.
